Since this book comes highly recommended by coaching institutes and tutorials for the purpose of UPSC Civil Service, my personal opinion is that, even if one is not explicitly aiming for UPSC, this book is something you should have on your shelf. This is the one stop shop for many topics and subjects regarding the Indian government, its policies and deeds and much more relating to the administration of the country. Something which everyone should be aware of. So just to be updated with what is going on in the country, read this up.
ReplyDeleteAnd needless to say, for aspirants of any competitive examination, this is almost indispensable. For one might go around in circles and read randomly from different sources about the same topics. So I guess its all the more logical to read the things from the most authentic source.
Lots of changes with census 2011 data is included. Better organised. Must for upsc.
